Big shout out to the legend matisyahu 24” x 36” mixed media on paper

This is the first layer of a portrait of Matisyahu — raw, symbolic, and filled with references to Jewish identity, spirituality, and resistance. From “613” and “770” to the Star of David and “Never Again,” this base layer sets the emotional foundation for what’s to come. Each mark and tear is intentional — part of a process of layering history, faith, and personal expression.
