This week’s YOUNG ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT is Sydney Swanson (@sydneyswan18)!! She graduated in 2018 with a degrees in Child, Adult, and Family Services; Psychology; and a Leadership Certificate! 🌪

Sydney says, “Graduating from ISU has helped me tremendously in my current career. During my time at ISU, I grew in confidence through the leadership positions I held in various student organizations, learned how to manage time and competing priorities studying for two degrees, and met incredible people who introduced me to the company I now work for. I proudly display my ISU memorabilia in my home office to show off my Cyclone Pride in my virtual meetings. I love meeting other Cyclone grads because it immediately tells me a person has a strong work ethic, big heart, and of course will chat with me about the latest ISU game before a meeting starts.”

Sydney’s favorite ISU homecoming memory is, “I loved participating in Yell Like Hell for four years! 2x Champion and 3x finalist, baby! I loved getting to show my ISU spirit along with some of my closest college friends. It was so much fun to perform at the pep rally the night before the big game. I was on Cardinal Court in 2017 and when we found out my team's YLH skit made it to finals, we thought I was going to have to be on stage painted when they introduced the Court. Luckily, my team performed 3rd so I was able to be introduced as a member of the Court as Sydney and still make it to our performance painted as Elaine the Swan a few minutes later. Thank goodness for sorority sisters who came to help me get painted in record time outside the Alumni Center! That also happened to be the same year we beat TCU to make it to a bowl game for the first time in 5 years!” ❤️💛
