Introducing Emma Baisden, Stream Restoration Project Intern and a member of the Class of 2025. Emma has been restoring old stream channels at the Piner Project in Big Bone Lick State Park that have been heavily impact by years of farming for NKU’s Center for Environmental Restoration (CER).

Emma’s journey has been significantly guided by NKU professors Dr. Kristy Hopfensperger and Dr. Sydney Oluoch, who have played a pivotal role in helping her discover her career passion.

Thanks to NKU, Emma has been able to translate her classroom learning into meaningful real-world applications.
