Another chapter in the Hunt vs. Lauda rivalry fell the way of James Hunt, On This Day fifty years ago - with Hesketh's first and only win! 🧸
 
It looked like being a Ferrari walkover, even as the Dutch Grand Prix start was delayed by wet-dry-wet conditions; Lauda cooly charged away in front, until fourth placed Hunt delivered a masterstroke as the track dried, undercutting the field with a stop for dry tyres. He cycled into the lead and was never headed, despite immense pressure from the hitherto dominant Lauda. 😤
 
Hesketh had spent their two years in F1 leaning in to the champagne-chugging playboy image - and now they finally had something to celebrate! 🍾
