Per thehill, the resolution alleges “abuse of presidential powers by disregarding the separation of powers—devolving American democracy into authoritarianism by unconstitutionally usurping Congress’s power to declare war.”___________________________________
Rep. Green’s resolution read, “President Trump’s unilateral, unprovoked use of force without congressional authorization or notice constitutes an abuse of power when there was no imminent threat to the United States, which facilitates the devolution of American democracy into authoritarianism.” ___________________________________
Rep Green did not succeed in his attempt to remove Donnie from the White House. The U.S. House tabled (killed) his impeachment resolution with a vote of 344-79. Reports state Rep. Green has been on Trump’s neck for months to try to get him impeached, slamming his handling of both foreign and domestic policy issues. He also tried to have Trump impeached during his first term.
