Last night the Las Vegas Vegas defeated the Indiana Fever 89-81. This one was frustrating because the Fever were in control for a good part of the game, and this Fever team seems to lack the spark that it once had…

Let’s jump right in and talk about Caitlin Clark, she was 7 for 20 from the field and 1 for 10 from three… which puts her at 1 for 17 the past 2 games. Caitlin is on a significant cold streak but that’s not what really bothered me from yesterday’s game, it was a particular shot where she was wide open at the top of the key and she passed up the shot from three. I hope this shooting cold streak isn’t getting to her head, because a mental block is much harder to overcome than just a shooting cold streak. The last time we saw her missing shots like this was right before she was sidelined with her injury a few weeks back.

When you go up against a team like the Las Vegas Aces you can’t have it be a close game at the end of the game and test your odds with the kind of whistle that you know that they have. There was a particular play in the 4th quarter where a very questionable foul call was called against the Indiana Fever on Aja Wilson.

What we saw from the Aces however was fight and the abilility to make adjustments, something the Fever did not do.

How can the Indiana Fever get back to winning? Let me know in the comments!
