Meet Gabriel Franco — a defender of the sea. 🌊 

He and other courageous fishers are standing up to dynamite fishing in Peru’s Paracas National Reserve.

This crime kills marine life indiscriminately: fish, mollusks, crustaceans, and even birds — and destroys the ecosystems they inhabit. It also endangers the lives of those involved and threatens the livelihoods of honest, hardworking fishers.

Thanks to the courage of fishers like Gabriel , many illegal fishers have been deterred and the use of dynamite has been reduced in the Paracas National Reserve.
