DeWanna Bonner is OUT. Aari McDonald is IN.

After missing an extended period of time for personal reasons, it is now official that DeWanna Bonner will be leaving the Indiana Fever. Today, the Indiana Fever made two moves to waive DeWanna Bonner and sign Aari McDonald for the remainder of the season. The whole thing in my opinion, and in the opinion of many fans… there was something else going on. This news proved all of our suspicisions true.

As far as where DeWanna Bonner may land, teams were advised to not claim DeWanna Bonner off waivers as she prefers to sign with the Mercury. Her wife Alyssa Thomas plays for the Mercury, but the Mercury are doing very well this season and would have to cut a player in order make it work.

In news that fans are excited about, Aari McDonald will return for the remainder of the Indiana Fever. She was a sparkplug while Caitlin Clark was out and impressed with her gritty play in a short stint with the team.

Finally, Caitlin Clark’s shooting struggles continued… which leaves me to believe there might be something else going on. Especially after seeing how she reacted after hitting a pregame halfcourt shot.

Let me know what you guys think of the latest Fever developments in the comments!
