It started with a DM! Next thing I know, @duolingoenglishtest invited my chair and I to DETcon. This event is held each year to discuss the @duolingo English Test and its role in global education. 

My Pittsburgh parking chair got to be a metaphor for holding space. Not just for my car this time, but for students who may not always have a seat at the table. 

It is just a chair. But in Pittsburgh, it means so much more. 🪩🪑
