Arguably the most interesting thing to happen at the unloved Valencia editions of the European Grand Prix, Red Bull's Mark Webber took flight over Heikki Kovalainen On This Day fifteen years ago. 🛫

Eighteenth after an early, slow pit stop, Webber moved to pass Kovalainen and misjudged the difference in braking distance between the two cars, riding over the rear of the Lotus; he back-flipped through an overhead billboard, briefly upside down before sliding through the thankfully vast runoff and into the tyres. 😱 Both drivers escaped unharmed. 😵‍💫
