As reported by ABC News, 🏛️ Starting May 5, the Education Department will begin sending 5 million defaulted student loans to collections. 

💼 This marks the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic that the government will collect on these debts. Borrowers affected had already been in default before the 2020 pause.
