Here is a replica of the  Victory Elite FK spikes that Faith Kipyegon is slated to wear during her sub-4 minute mile attempt later today in Paris.

The model was showcased by Nike to members of the media in attendance. Some notes + observations via CITIUS MAG’s Keenan @keenanontrack: 

• Believed to be an improvement on Victory Elite 2, but not sure by how much 

• The upper weighs in under 90 grams (3.1 oz) or, as one Nike rep described it, “three paper clips.”

• Bigger zoom air pod

• Nodes on the side for aerodynamics

• Upper is an improvement on Atomknit yarns

• Spikes themselves are shorter but titanium/lighter and embedded in the shoe, so that there’s no secondary traction like regular spikes.
