To me, data resilience is about minimizing any potential data loss and downtime that could result from an attack. So, this means preventing breaches to begin with, uncovering them as quickly as possible, and restoring the most critical data and business services as quickly as possible.

🤝 What’s one benefit IT and security can gain from working closer together? ✅

One of the key benefits IT and Security teams can gain from working more closely together is an improved ability to identify risks and vulnerabilities, and to then implement and maintain the tools and processes needed to address them. We hear this is a top-of-mind concern because threat vectors are evolving very rapidly, and they are more sophisticated than ever before.

📈 What industry shift will have the greatest impact on data resilience in the next year? 📉

The rise of identity-based attacks will have a material impact on data resilience. Specifically, it makes data classification more important, because it provides an understanding of the sensitivity and value of data that is needed for appropriate security and access controls, and to prioritize recovery operations.
