Growing up, rising star @dashawnjordan didn’t see people who looked like him skateboarding. So, he emulated the white skaters. They were the best. They style, swag, skill & Dashawn wanted to be them, because there is no black equivalent to Tony Hawk. 

Now, he’s leaning into being a black skateboarder, & working to be someone that kids from neighborhoods like his can look up to. It’s inspiring to hear, & even more inspiring to see his hard work motivate the next generation of skaters like him.
