On this #IndigenousVeteransDay, we recognize Staff Sergeant Lisa Leith (ᐃᓕᓴᐱ ᓖᑦ), an Inuvialuit from the Western Arctic. She has participated in the Canadian Armed Forces-RCMP Arctic Maritime Patrols aboard the HMCS Harry DeWolf in various locations in Nunavut.

The focus of these exercises is to enhance partnerships between the Military and RCMP and to promote Indigenous communities’ resiliency and reconciliation, and ensure Canada's Arctic sovereignty.

This exercise included sharing maritime intelligence, facilitating key engagement/outreach with Indigenous communities, and providing on-water training and expertise to CAF and RCMP operators to improve their knowledge and skills in the Arctic environment.
