“My life is rooted in the balance of identities—an eldest immigrant daughter navigating the dichotomy of American and Indian culture. I’ve always been an inherently curious person, which I get from my dad, drawn to why things are the way they are. With a love for the hard sciences instilled in me by my grandfather and a passion for community care fostered by my mother, I’ve learned to uplift others, ask thought-provoking questions, and delve deeper into both biological and social phenomena.

Growing up quiet and reserved, I found strength in subtlety. A pivotal moment came from an English teacher who reminded me that advocacy can begin quietly—grassroots, community-based, and sustainable. What once felt like weakness evolved into my power, shaping how I lead and listen.

When I first visited UC San Diego, it already felt like home. I envisioned a future filled with research, service, community, and learning—and I built it. Through dance, a youth mental health initiative, clinical experiences, and moments with loved ones, I poured myself into growth.

My bucket list, color-coded and emoji-filled, reflects everything I’ve loved here—from research conferences to kayaking La Jolla caves. I take pride in accomplishments across both personal and professional realms. My community, friends, family, and peers have shaped me, challenged me, and inspired me. I am a mosaic of everyone I’ve met.

My impact began with service at the Basic Needs Hub and continued into graduate leadership roles, now expanding into campus-based emergency medical services. These efforts are rooted in passion, community, and continuity—once a Triton, always a Triton.

You don’t have to do everything, so just do what matters, and do it with heart. You’re not here to be a firework that is loud, quick, and then just gone. Be a seed that takes root, grows slowly, and changes the landscape. Chase depth, not just height, because what lasts is built quietly, from the inside out. Find your people and let your possibilities come to fruition with purpose.”
