🙏🏽 Heavy hearts in South Memphis

Memphis Rox, the beloved climbing gym and community space on E. McLemore, is temporarily closing its doors after losing one of their own to gun violence on June 29.

According to memphisnews, a shooting occurred inside the gym around 4:13 p.m., leaving two people dead and one detained. 29-year-old Farris Haley has been arrested and charged with tampering with evidence and resisting detention.

MPD says it appears the individuals involved knew each other.

Our prayers go out to the Memphis Rox family and all affected. This space has always stood for healing, hope, and community — and right now, they need us to stand with them. 💔🕊️
