MomsRising joined forces with OneAmerica to host a powerful press event and roundtable in Yakima.

Educators, farmworkers, union leaders, faith leaders, early learning advocates, and moms came together to speak out against the climate of fear fueled by anti-immigrant rhetoric, and the devastating impact of the #BigBadBetrayalBill!

Speakers highlighted how harmful policies are hurting Washington families, local businesses, and the state's economy. As our amazing organizer Cintia B. said: "No one should have to choose between their safety and feeding their family."

Huge thanks to the offices of SenPattyMurray and SenatorMariaCantwell for showing up and standing with our immigrant communities.

MomsRising se unió a OneAmerica para organizar una poderosa conferencia de prensa y mesa redonda en Yakima.
Educadores, trabajadores agrícolas, líderes sindicales, líderes religiosos, defensoras de la educación temprana y mamás se reunieron para denunciar el clima de miedo alimentado por la retórica antiinmigrante y el impacto devastador del #BigBadBetrayalBill.

Las personas oradoras destacaron cómo estas políticas dañinas están afectando a las familias de Washington, a los negocios locales y a la economía del estado. Como dijo nuestra increíble organizadora Cintia B.: "Nadie debería tener que elegir entre su seguridad y alimentar a su familia".
