10 tips for surviving long haul flights 🛩️

↘︎ if you can upgrade for a do it!!! dont overthink it! spend the money/points! within reason lol

↘︎ snacks. The amazing food + snacks on this ANA flight definitely kept me from potential hangry moment hehe. But bring your faves just in case the menu doesn’t hit like it needs to 🍓

↘︎ noise cancelling headphones, a NEED

↘︎ hydration - skin, lips, hands. and drink your water, esp if you’re sipping something stronger too

↘︎ compression socks (I link the ones I use in the shop post) make sure to get ones with the right pressure for you! Standard is 15-20mmHg 🧦

↘︎ portable batteries - why do charging blocks never stay in those plane outlets 🙄 bring a portable battery just in case

↘︎ window seat is nonnegotiable! If you get stuck in the middle seat (like I did!) stalk the seating chart up until the morning of, and even ask at the gate if there are last minute seat options

↘︎ time your sleeping. Lots of apps like Timeshifter can help you sleep the ideal pattern to your flight time + landing time!

↘︎ stretching. Your back, your neck, your legs. Get up at least every 2 hours, and roll your neck, do toe touches, and get your blood flowing for 2-3 minutes

↘︎ a good attitude ✨the worst part of a long flight is being stuck in an uncomfortable position, being bored, or next to some who makes the flight unpleasant (no headphones?? manspreading?? 😭) think ahead as much as possible but also speak up to a flight attendant if you need to. I go into my own little world and usually end up enjoying long haul flights, even in economy!
