If you’re looking for something to add to your Bali / Indonesia itinerary, you have to consider a liveaboard in Flores! 🥥  We’ve just gotten back from our trip and it was ✨ amazing ✨ Waking up at sunrise, dolphins swimming beside us, snorkelling, island hopping and hiking to viewpoints - it was just perfect ❤️

Never heard of a live aboard? It’s pretty much what the name suggests, eat, sleep and spend your days on a boat sailing to different islands, snorkelling, jumping in the sea and hiking! We did ours with lepirate_explorer and paid €470 each for a 2 night / 3 day trip. All meals are included, along with hikes / activities etc.

☀️ When to do the trip
The best time to it is dry season (May - November). I would avoid in Jan / Feb when the rains tend to peak. Tours do still run in rainy season, and Tim did one in rainy season and got great weather so it is possible for that to happen! You’re just never guaranteed anything during those months. 

📍Where do boats depart from?
Boats leave from Lebuan Bajo, just over an hours flight from Bali. Air Asia fly here pretty cheaply! You can fly here and then get a cab 20 minutes to the pier. Pickup is usually 9ish am, so land early morning or the night before.

🚤 Companies to look into!
We did ours with lepirate_explorer and I loved it because it was super sustainable. The boat is solar powered, no single use plastic, we were given refillable water bottles etc. So if you want to explore nature and take care of it at the same time, I’d recommend them! capt.octopusphinisi is a budget friendly option that Tim did before. cordeliaphinisi is higher end
