## Caption

Before @bigfoe1998, Before @benshelton, Before @iamgaelmonfils There was Ashe.
A Black man with a racquet and a plan rewriting greatness on tennis’ grandest stage.

On July 5, 1975, Ashe didn’t overpower the No. 1 seed he outsmarted him.

While Connors brought brute force, Ashe brought precision, poise, and a strategy rooted in patience his own rope-a-dope.
He became the first Black man to win @wimbledon. And he lit the path for every one who came after.

With quiet fire and “USA” stitched across his back, Ashe didn’t just win. He shifted history.

🎾 “50 years later, Arthur Ashe’s historic Wimbledon victory still inspiring”
