Today is the day the dangerous reconciliation bill is signed. On the day that many celebrate America, we acknowledge the truth: this land is not free. And it won’t be until all of us, including Black people, have the means to survive and thrive. 

While many are celebrating this outcome across the country, we at Color Of Change choose to highlight the stories of people who will be affected by the budget cuts to SNAP, Medicaid, and more. During our #COCLobbyDay, we had members join us on the Hill to share their personal stories to urge lawmakers to oppose the bill. One such person was Color Of Change member David N.

Even with the bill’s passage, we won’t stop fighting for our people #UntilJusticeIsReal.
