Poverty stems from many factors, including lack of access to quality education, inadequate social protection, unstable employment, social exclusion, and the heightened vulnerability of certain populations to disasters, diseases and other threats. Everyone has the right to live with dignity and thrive. Achieving this —and building a better, more sustainable world— requires both commitment and investment.
