Fun Fact: Dave’s innovation got a rule named after him “The Leggio Rule” in the AHL/NHL after he knocked the net off on a 2-0 then successfully saved the ensuing penalty shot. Now it is a game misconduct and the back up goalie must face the penalty shot. All jokes aside Dave had an amazing journey from being a walk-on in college to a long pro career. A true hard working American success story!
