hello mama. I know I’m not at a big fancy company with stability right now, but I just won an award for my stories this year 🥹 

jomo.pod won the Best Podcast Award at the asiancreatorawards presented by kajabi this week. 

this pod has been my baby over the last year, and I finally made it happen despite tons of people telling me not to. 

I didn’t think I was “big enough” and wasn’t sure if anyone would listen, but the angsty, uncertain life of people in corporate careees who want to build their own thing resonates across tens and thousands. 

thank you to erictway for saying yes to my crazy idea even though you literally have a whole startup to run and your own pod. 

thank you to jaynabenito who has been our day 1 editor building this with us. 

thank you to jerrywon for hosting the inaugural Asian Creator Awards. The experience was magical. ✨

Finally, thank you to all the Jomies who tune in every Tuesday and give me a safe space to show my deepest, most savage self 🔪

This is just the beginning! Can’t wait to see where we take this next year!
