The perfect Lo Mein doesn’t exi…..until I made it on my 50,000 BTU cuisinartoutdoors Wok Station! #AD So now that the wok has been out for a while, I can’t tell you the amount of DM’s I’ve gotten asking for tips – like how to avoid burning food!

This burner gets WICKEDLY hot (500F in less than 10 seconds!) and my number one key tip for mastering the outdoor wok is proper heat management! Knowing when to adjust the heat (up or down) to properly cook what’s in the wok is crucial to mastering this tool. There is a learning curve but once you get it down – I guarantee you’ll make the best food of your life on this thing! Head to my link in bio to shop now!

Here’s my tips for nailing the best lo mein:

1 ) Prep everything in advance – the chicken, aromatics, vegetables, noodles, sauce, neutral oil and tools you need should all be within easy reach on the prep space next to your wok.

2 ) Cook the noodles 2 minutes LESS than the package directions call for – the high heat of the wok with continue to cook the noodles once you’ve added them back, so they’ll be perfectly tender and not overdone by the end.

3 ) Start sauteing aromatics on LOW heat – you don’t need a lot of power in the beginning. Gradually adjust the heat higher as you add more vegetables into the wok (don’t be afraid to turn it down if things are charring too quickly). Once all the ingredients are in and the wok is full, then crank it up to high and incorporate that wok hei!

As always, ask me any questions in the comments or shoot me a DM! I’m so happy to help you master this outdoor wok station – I’ve never had so much fun cooking amazing food!
The full measurements and ingredients will be in the comments 😊
