Had a blast painting with sprocketmuralworks a couple weeks back in Harrisburg, PA! This was my second mural for the bgca_clubs and first for bgc_harrisburg , and it’s always an honor to create something that becomes part of a kid’s everyday landscape.

Youth and the arts aren’t just important—they are the future. Investing in their creativity means investing in a more vibrant, connected world.

Big thanks to sprocketmuralworks for bringing me out and for all the work you do building community through public art. Always grateful to be part of that mission. And big shoutout to all the incredible artists who threw down this year—y'all brought the 🔥🔥🔥!. 🎨🔥

Also, for a nerd-out here are some cool facts about fireflies, and why my wife and I don't remove leaves from our yad. We get fire flies every year. 

1. Egg:
.
Firefly eggs are typically laid in moist soil, leaf litter, or moss. They hatch in a few weeks, usually within three to four weeks. 
2. Larva:
.
Firefly larvae, often called glowworms, are predatory and live on the ground or in trees. They feed on snails, slugs, and other insects, injecting them with paralyzing toxins. This stage can last from a few weeks to up to two years, depending on the species. 
3. Pupa:
.
The pupa stage is a transitional phase where the larva transforms into an adult. Fireflies pupate in the soil, often in chambers they construct. This stage can last from a week to a few weeks, with the pupa eventually emerging as an adult. 
4. Adult:
Adult fireflies emerge with the primary goal of mating. They may or may not possess mouthparts for feeding, and their bioluminescence is used for attracting mates. The adult stage is the shortest, with some species living only a few weeks.
