Ticking things off my travel bucket lists that have been there since 2018 ❤️

This viewpoint at Padar island has popped up on my feed many times over the years, and I always thought ‘I’ll go here one day’ - it’s just one hour from Bali, so I figured that day would come soon 🤷🏼‍♀️But 7 years later I finally made it! 

It’s funny how it’s the places closest to us that we never make it to - we just take for granted we’ll end up there. We don’t make the plan, book the time off, arrange the trip - we just figure it will happen because it’s so close and so ‘easy’. 

But things don’t happen unless you make them happen, no matter how easy they are! 

There’s so much of Ireland I have yet to see, but yet I’ve travelled to Mongolia, to Namibia, I’ve been Islands in Thailand that no one even lives on. Most of my Irish bucket list remains unticked.

So I’ve been trying to focus on the smaller trips this year, seeing more of the countries I’ve been to and loved - not ticking off new ones ‘just because’. I’ll manage the Irish list one next year ❤️

So here’s a little reminder not to skip the easy trips, don’t m take the beautiful sights near you for granted to focus on the ones further afield. Maybe this weekend is your chance to go explore somewhere closer to home 🫶🏻
