We’ve been on the hunt for a WR500 for a bit. @skillit1time messaged me saying he and his friend had a WR500 in boxes down in California, and that we could have the project to keep if we picked it up. His only request is that we get it together and that I rip it! Absolutely stoked to get this thing stuffed into the van and are now starting to go through all of the boxes. Yamaha only made this bike for 2 years (1992/1993) so that @damonbradshaw45 and @doug_dubach15 could race the 500 nationals. Yamaha was worried about sales at the time since big bores were not in high demand, so they sold it as an off-road model (WR) in hopes to sell more of them. So excited to get this project going, they already had most of the hard to get parts collected for this bike. We have some more items from @motosportinc and @vintco_usa coming and then after some time and love, this beast will be ready to rip!
