Making the winter look good! 🐵🏔️🛁

As their name suggests, snow monkeys have the cold weather all figured out. They not only have warm fur and stocky bodies to keep out the chill – but they also know the joys of a nice soak. In the wild, these macaques are drawn to naturally occurring hot springs found in Jigokudani Monkey Park, Japan. At the Detroit Zoo, we have recreated these warm oases for the troop to enjoy! Come for your chance to see them swim and bask in the soothing steam.
