A federal judge just threw out the $53.6 million in punitive damages they were awarded, saying there wasn’t enough evidence to justify it, according to rollingstone. ___________________________________
Judge Selna gave the couple two options: accept just $1 in punitive damages (on top of the $17.9 million in compensatory damages), or head back to trial. Their lawyer chose to continue the legal battle that has spanned years.
