In Marguerite Derricks’ margueritederricks contemporary repertory class at our JoffreyRED Contemporary Ballet Summer Intensive, dancers are challenged to move with intention, detail, and emotional clarity. Her class is a powerful blend of precision and artistry—reflecting the intensive’s mission to merge classical foundation with the fearless innovation of contemporary ballet.

Marguerite Derricks is one of the most celebrated choreographers in the industry, known for her Emmy Award-winning work across television, film, and stage. She’s the only choreographer to win three consecutive Emmys for Outstanding Choreography and has brought her signature style to major projects like The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Austin Powers, Charlie’s Angels, GLOW, Westworld, and Zumanity. Her work is recognized for its bold creativity, technical brilliance, and powerful storytelling.

We are so grateful to have such great faculty leading our dancers, immersing them in a truly exceptional summer training environment. A special thank you to assistants Matisse Love matisselove , Sienna Morris sisimorris , and Avalon Rivera avalonrivera for their incredible support in the studio—Sienna and Avalon as proud alumni of JoffreyRED Contemporary Ballet Summer Intensive.
