A Junior from New York and a 2021 Ocean Awareness Contest winner, Ella began her journey into sea level rise through writing, crafting an article for her school’s Green Zine that opened her eyes to a terrifying, sinking future. But from that fear came a vision: a performance that could speak through silence, move without music, and translate anxiety into urgent beauty.

By choreographing a dance to her own poem, Ella merges two artistic languages she holds dear, creating a piece that mourns the Earth’s wounds and calls gently for healing.
