When we need a bottle of wine — and some expert advice to go with it — howofwine is where we go. It’s also our favorite place to learn, unwind, and connect over incredible wines. This month we-  hellomeridian travelingspud boisesocialite and sara.haven - spent a lovely afternoon there exploring Basque wines, inspired by Boise’s July vibrant Basque celebrations. 🍷✨

It’s pretty special to have something like this in Boise — the kind of thoughtful, world-class wine experience you’d expect in a major wine region.

You can also just drop in, enjoy a glass, and relax.

At the heart of it all is Kathryn “Kat” House McClaskey —is  one of the most accomplished wine professionals around. With a Master of Science in Horticulture (Viticulture & Enology), advanced wine certifications, experience judging and making wines, and currently pursuing the elite Master of Wine title, Kat sets the tone for this unique and approachable space.

Our afternoon tasting was led by José, whose enthusiasm, knowledge, and personal connection to Basque wines made it extra special.

Fun fact: Natalie from our group completed her Level 1 WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) certification here — an internationally recognized wine education — and is currently studying for Level 2.
