Anishinaabe youth perform a Welcome Song for 50,000 Coldplay fans. 🌠

Before their sold-out show at Rogers Centre in Toronto on Monday, July 7, Coldplay (coldplay) invited Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation (mcfirstnation) youth to open their concert in a good way. 💛🥹

This isn’t the first time Coldplay has shown respect to Indigenous peoples at their live shows — in 2023, they welcomed youth from the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations during their Vancouver concert.

They’ve also featured Indigenous knowledge keepers during their 2024 shows in Keo Deudai (Australia) and Aotearoa (New Zealand). 🌏

Do you respect coldplay for this?! Should more artists open their shows with Indigenous voices?! 💭⤵️
