One man’s trash is another’s treasure. 

UVA doctoral student Zack Landsman co-founded Junk Labz (junklabz), a plastic recycling program that turns discarded pipette tip boxes used in lab research into functional objects. Landsman, who also earned his undergraduate degree from UVA, hopes to create a model that other college campuses can replicate.
