We’ll use a 2-5-1 progression in D major as the starting point, and the idea is to target the 3rd and the root of each chord using a chromatic enclosure. This is a great way to outline changes clearly while developing your bebop vocabulary.

The full exercise is written out in all 12 keys, and I’ve included tab and notation for easy study!
