Today is #ArcticSeaIceDay and your Toronto Zoo is committed to protecting sea ice for species around the world ❄️ 

Are you aware? Polar bears are listed as vulnerable on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)’s Red List due to climate change and the melting of sea ice. Sea ice is incredibly crucial to polar bears as they reproduce, hunt, and migrate. Without sea ice, it dramatically lowers a polar bear's chances of survival thus putting them at risk of extinction.
