Like the BLT, the Salted NedRoll is a half shell. But, the Salted NedRoll has a wider body and a spade tail to impart maximum action even when it's sitting still.
 
As well as the Salted Ned Roll works on a ned rig, there aren’t many baits better on a drop shot. “This bait’s a lot different from the BLT,” said dcfishing, pro angler and CrushCity crew member. “We’ve added a lot of extra salt and scent to make it neutrally buoyant which is what you want on your drop shot. All you gotta do is thread the bait on a Finesse Neko hook or nose hook it and let it sit. If the fish are kinda finicky, just leave the bait there. That bait is gonna sit completely horizontal, and it just aggravates them. Then, when you shake it, you’ll have that awesome action on the tail.”
 
“To me, one of the most important actions to generate bites is that glide that you get with the Salted NedRoll. The spade tail allows that to happen,” said Wheelerfishing.
