Physical Activity wearables are changing the game for Fitness and Sport for Special Olympics Athletes!

Meet Kelly Unagst, a specialolympicspennsylvania athlete who received a Fitbit for participating in Project ALL STAR. “The Fitbit helps me in so many ways. I wear it every day and only take it off to charge or if the referee makes me take it off during a tournament.”

Kelly incorporated her Fitbit into her Fitness and Sport routine by:
-Tracking hours of sleep
-Using it as an alarm. Kelly is hearing impaired and sometimes she does not hear the alarm, but the vibration of the Fitbit wakes her up.
-Tracking her step and distance each day
-Checking her heart rate
-Tracking calories burned
-Managing her stress levels
-Tracking how many days she is physically active
-Recording her water intake each day

Do you wear a physical activity wearable? Tell us how you use it to be active and healthy in the comments!
