🎥 Meet Jon Blåhed, writer and director of 'Raptures' – the first-ever feature film in Meänkieli.

5️⃣ Meänkieli is one of Sweden’s five official minority languages. It's spoken by Tornedalians, who are one of Sweden’s five official national minorities.

🗺️ The native region of Tornedalians is Torne Valley, which borders to Finland and has a long, cross-cultural history.

💛🤍💙 Tornedalians' Day on 15 July honours their language, traditions and contributions to Swedish society.

⚖️ Together with Sweden’s four other official minorities – Jews, Roma, the Sami and Swedish Finns – Tornedalians have special protection under Swedish law.

Music: 'What Lies Ahead' – Tellsonic/Epidemic Sound
