Victory…..
A lot of you may see this picture and assume I am here to show off myself in the height of my glory and success. But this picture was actually the end of success and the start of a long journey involving injury, anxiety, and depression that I could have never imagined. But sitting here a year and a half later, I have had a huge victory. I was listening to “See a Victory” as I was doing my most extended rep of consecutive running post-surgery yesterday, and blaring in my headphones was a chant of “I’m gonna see a Victory” as well as “You take what the enemy meant for evil and you turn it for good”. I ended up finishing this rep with my hands in surrender, screaming this until fatigue forced me to stop.  The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy but our Redeeming God turns our biggest trials into our biggest moments of victory. I may not have been able to fathom the place that I am today and I also may have imagined my victory differently, but in spite of my broken body, my failure, God created light and created a passion for serving and speaking to others about the freedom God has brought me through music. The crazy thing is, as much as I know that God may have intended for me to have success in running, my body failure and struggles didn’t stop him from using me, in fact, I became truly changed through his never-changing love and compassion. Please don’t be afraid to DM me today if you are struggling to see your victory. Also don’t see shame in that, admitting that takes true strength. There are things that I struggle to find victory in daily. Love you guys, thank you so much for supporting my music. I strive to make music that is liberating for me and serving you through Christ, a place where God meets you when you are searching for a victory, as well as a place of celebration in your victory. You are gonna see a victory, whether it be in this life, or the liberation of our souls in heaven, rest your souls in the freedom of the cross! It may be a long enduring battle, but God will turn what the enemy meant for evil into good. I promise that.
