One of the most friend-requested recipes from this weekend’s brunch was this cherry cocktail made with one of my go to spirits when hosting: theglenlivet_us.
I wanted something that felt like spring turning into summer.

I marinated the cherries in honey, balsamic, and tarragon until they turned soft, savory-sweet, and perfect for topping a drink. The result: a cocktail that’s fresh and
balanced.

Cerise Noire Cocktail | Makes 1
4 parts The Glenlivet 12 Year Old
1.5 parts fresh lemon juice
1 part honey syrup
3-4 cherries, pitted
1 small sprig tarragon
Dash of orange bitters

Muddle cherries with honey syrup and lemon juice in a shaker. Add The Glenlivet and tarragon (lightly bruised). Shake with ice until chilled and rosy. Fine strain into a coupe Garnish with a homemade honey-balsamic tarragon cherry**

** Honey-Balsamic Tarragon Cherries
Fresh pitted cherries
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
I sprig tarragon
Pinch of salt
Optional: splash of The Glenlivet to tie it all together

Warm honey slightly with vinegar and tarragon over the stove. Pour over cherries and let sit at least 30 minutes or store in fridge for a few days for more intense flavors.
