DECEPTION-The unusual release point from a lower arm slot can make it difficult for hitters to pick up the trajectory early in the delivery🧐. 2. MOVEMENT: when typical pitchers with a higher armslot release a 4 seam fb it is rotating backwards on a horizontal axis. Sidearm pitchers fb is rotating on a vertical axis🌪️, which creates a sinking action and can be tougher to square up because the sink is happening on a horizontal plane. 3. GROUND BALL TENDENCIES: Sidearmers often induce a high rate of ground balls, which can lead to easier defensive plays😴 4. REDUCED STRESS ON ARM: Compared to over the top pitchers, sidearm mechanics can put less stress on the elbow and shoulder, allowing them to throw more frequently. DRAWBACKS😏: 1. LOWER VELOCITY POTENTIAL- Generally sidearm pitchers may not generate the same velocity as standard overhand pitchers based on the different mechanics and delivery. 2.
