A jeweler tested it and this is what traxnyc_bts found out: 

1. A regular baseball weighs 5 oz, a solid gold baseball the same size weighs 8.4lbs😳

2. Damage to the wood bat is inevitable: Gold is soft, so the bat will bend, crack, or break due to the balls weight and the gold’s malleability.

3. Ball Deformation: The solid gold baseball will likely dent or lose its shape on impact because of gold’s softness, and won’t rebound like a normal baseball.

4. Unusual impact: Instead of flying off the bat, the gold ball will just drop or roll an inch or two lol. 

5. Risk Of Injury: The weight and recoil of hitting such a heavy object is guaranteed to blow your hands up👋🏼🥴

In short it is extremely impractical, makes no sense, and serves zero purpose to hit a solid gold baseball lmaoo🤷🏻‍♂️💀
