Broedy Poppell is officially headed to the pros! The San Francisco Giants selected the Florida A&M catcher in the 13th round of the 2025 MLB Draft (386th overall).

A hometown product from Tallahassee, Poppell has been a force for the Rattlers since 2022 — and he’s leaving on a high note:
✅ First-Team All-SWAC catcher
✅ .325 batting average
✅ 69 hits, 12 home runs
✅ 258 putouts behind the plate

He’s the first FAMU player drafted since 2017 and the 29th in program history.
