GET THIS 😳 Back in 2016, this once-lost harlequin toad was rediscovered by a 10-year-old boy - BY ACCIDENT! 🐸 

After this shocking rediscovery, scientists from centrojambatu began a rescue operation to establish a conservation breeding colony for the Jambato Harlequin Toad. Now, local communities embrace the toad’s conservation, even celebrating Jambato Day each year to commemorate this remarkable conservation comeback. 🙌 

🟢 Re:wild supports the Atelopus Survival Initiative and the work of our local partners like alianzajambato in fighting the extinction of harlequin toads. By funding essential on-the-ground conservation actions and community engagement, together we are working to ensure the Jambato Harlequin Toad is never lost again.
