The journey begins today at our Joffrey San Francisco Summer Intensive, and the studios are already alive with intention, curiosity, and a sense of artistic daring. Dancers arrived ready to move beyond classical form—diving into the world of contemporary ballet where tradition meets innovation and movement becomes a deeper form of expression.

Led by Artistic Director Josie Walsh ballet_red , this intensive challenges students to expand their technique while exploring the freedom that lives within structure. From ballet and pointe to contemporary ballet, modern, and repertory, today's classes laid the groundwork for a transformative two-week journey rooted in clarity, complexity, and creative exploration.
