Happy birthday to Alexander Calder, the legendary sculptor who brought his bold vision and style to the very first BMW Art Car 🎈 

In 1975, Calder transformed the BMW 3.0 CSL into a vibrant, moving sculpture for the 24 Hours of Le Mans - commissioned by French driver and auctioneer Hervé Poulain. This groundbreaking fusion of art and engineering launched what would become a celebrated tradition in contemporary art and design.
