A clean bill of health from Europe’s emissions regulators mean BMW will keep on producing its inline-six and V-8 engine offerings. BMW M CEO Frank van Meel told Autocar that M engineers had to make some “very interesting” tweaks to keep its six- and eight-cylinder models on the road in Europe, but that these engines are core to the brand.
